Calliope Indoor Market showcases local art and craft businesses, featuring home made, home grown items including children's clothes, accessories, adult clothing, jewellery, plants, home produce, honey, candles, soaps, hand-made cards, banners, artists, photographers, art/craft supplies, children's craft activities, homewares/linens, knitting/crochet, blankets, soft toys, greeting cards and more! The Calliope Historical Village Markets are held on a regular basis along the banks of the Calliope River only 26 kilometres from Gladstone and 100 kilometres south of Rockhampton! These are lovely relaxed markets for the whole family. Grab a drink or a bite to eat and sit with your family under the shady trees. Bring the kids along for a ride on the famous miniature train or just come along to view the abundance of homewares, fresh produce, plants and bric-a-brac for sale. Whilst your at the markets don't forget to visit the village's historic buildings and spend some time looking at the interesting displays including the Calliope River Railway Display.
