Charnwood is surrounded by forest in a beautiful valley in the Strathbogie Ranges. This accommodation centre will meet the needs of most social groups or Outdoor Education Programs. Charnwood has accommodation for up to 90 people or more in two buildings. There is a combination of bunkrooms and bedrooms. Most of the staff rooms have ensuite facilities. Within the buildings are two kitchens (one in each), toilets and showers in under the same roof as the bedrooms, heating, under cover recreation and games areas and a classroom. Activities available on site include walks, swimming in the lake, bike riding, canoeing, environmental studies and games. A short distance from the camp is a bush camping facility, abseiling, rock climbing, sailing, canoeing and mountain bike riding. A little further away are rafting, skiing and even more rock climbing, bushwalking and mountain bike riding. Auscamp, a fully accredited and insured service provider, can run the adventure activities for you or, if you have your own equipment and qualified staff you can run them yourself. Short stays of one or two nights can be accommodated through to longer multi week bookings. Charnwood can be booked for self cater groups or they can provide full catering.
