The 89th Red Hill Show

This iconic Red Hill Show will be held at the Red Hill Showgrounds, Arthurs Seat Road on Easter Saturday. The Red Hill Show is a traditional country Show, it is always one of the State?s most popular agricultural shows and 2017 will be no exception. There will be Clydesdales, cattle, sheep, alpacas, poultry, rats and the opportunity to watch the working dogs. Pavilions will be filled with flowers, fruit, vegetables, cooking, homemade wines, craft, photography and art. The woodchop is always sensational and the hot chainsaw races have become a crowd favourite. As always there will be plenty of free attractions for the family, with Big Air BMX School and Origin Tennis Hotshots will be running demos and workshops, wildlife encounters, rock climbing wall, pony rides, face painting, circus workshop, fairground rides and more. The family-owned winery, Foxeys Hangout Winery, grows, makes and sells acclaimed cool-climate wines in the beautiful hills of the Mornington Peninsula, just an hour's drive south of Melbourne. Winemaker brothers Michael and Tony Lee are former Melbourne restaurateurs who turned their years of love and knowledge of fine wines into a livelihood when they planted the first of their three small Peninsula vineyards. The brothers personally make the wines on site at Red Hill and specialise in the Peninsula's flagship varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, as well as Pinot Gris and shiraz, winning 19 wine show trophies over the past 8 years. The Foxeys cellar door and kitchen is located at picturesque Red Hill on a historic farming property. Personally staffed by Michael and Tony, it is an intimate but striking architect-designed space with superb valley views over the vineyard. Tony is a trained chef and serves wine-bar style appetizers from the cellar door's open kitchen, while Michael oversees tastings and runs Foxeys Hangout Winery unique customised sparkling bottling sessions....
