The cottage is available for couples that want to enjoy the views and tranquillity of the countryside or explore the numerous local wineries, eateries, climb the mystical Hanging Rock. Popular with cyclists and walkers or those that just want to sit back with a wine and at those cooler times enjoy the fire and the magnificent views down over the valley. The spacious cottage is suited to couples, being only one bedroom, but can accommodate two couples with a large comfortable sofa bed in the lounge. It also has a private lake, cottage gardens and farm animals including alpacas, highland cattle, sheep, goats, ducks and geese. Located just under an hour from Melbourne CBD and 30 minutes from Tullamarine Airport, Cleveland Winery makes a perfect spot to visit while exploring Macedon Ranges. Its restaurant, The Carriagehouse, sits within the winery, serving breakfast daily and fresh wood fire pizzas on Sundays and public holidays. A la carte dinners are served on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. Bookings essential. The restaurant overlooks the vineyard, lake and ranges, and in summer it has an open deck for alfresco dining. Group wine maker tasting dinners and underground cellar dinners are also catered for.
