As an extension of the hotel, the owners are pleased to announce that their new motel has been completed on the same site as the hotel. Barwon Park is a majestic 42 room bluestone mansion set in a sweeping rural landscape, built in 1871 for Thomas and Elizabeth Austin. The Enclosed bluestone courtyard catering for up to 120 guests, provides a stylish and enchanting venue for wedding receptions and functions. The elegant formal dining room with its superb polished tables and balloon-back chairs is available for smaller functions and receptions and caters for up to 30 guests. Barwon Park also features a novel cast iron veranda, monumental entrance hall and magnificent central staircase. The mansion captures the glory of Victoria's pastoral heritage. Built in 1910, Roberta's Cottage is a quaint little cottage with a country outlook. It is set on two and a quarter acres with an orchard and many gardens to wander through. Roberta's Cottage is situated on the outskirts of Winchelsea township, Geelong side, 25 minutes from the Great Ocean Road. The cottage is fully self-contained with two guest bed rooms featuring queen beds. One of the queen rooms has an ensuite, while the other has a separate bathroom and toilet. It also has a full size kitchen with tea and coffee facilities, laundry, lounge and dining area with television and DVD player, split system. Sunroom which overlooks the garden. Nice room for breakfast or just to relax. Roberta's Cottage also has a self-contained cabin on the property overlooking a small orchard, mini golf and garden. The cabin contains a queen bedroom with an ensuite and also has a fully equipped kitchen with lounge/sofa bed and is pet friendly. Additional features are the supplied linen and continental breakfast. They also provide ample parking for cars, boats, caravans and other larger vehicles.
