Seymour welcomes the Victorian Vietnam Veterans for their 'Together Then, Together Again' Race meeting. This is a family day for the wider Victorian based Vietnam Veteran community to close the years' activities commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Long Tan. Everybody is welcome to come and celebrate the anniversary with the vets. This is a double celebration as this will be the first race meeting back on Seymour's brand new track after a $5 million upgrade. The race course has been widened, creating a vastly improved racing surface. As well as offering some of the best racing in country Victoria, the day will showcase some amazing fashion with the Fashions on the Field event, Local wines from Mitchelton Winery, live music, free kids entertainment and so you don't miss a thing - the big screen. The Seymour Railway Heritage Centre operates special passenger services throughout Victoria and interstate utilising its extensive fleet of preserved diesel locomotives and air conditioned steel and heritage wooden passenger carriages.
