Killarney View Cabins and Caravan Park is set on five acres of land with spectacular views of Killarney and the surrounding mountains. Killarney View has seven modern fully self contained Cabins catering for couples and families; these are situated at the front of the park with great views. They have also added a spacious two bedroom Cottage and a new Pet friendly cabin complete with a fenced yard. The park is within walking distance to the Killarney Township, only 10 kilometres to the spectacular Queen Mary Falls and less than an hour's drive to the award winning Granite Belt wineries. The park has a great flat grassed camping area with open fire places. Recently added a family bathroom, The camp kitchen has a great ambience with a new Wood burner stove for those colder nights; there is also a gas barbecue, Pizza oven, microwave oven and refrigerator. Good mobile phone and television reception and a dump point. Killarney View welcomes dogs by prior arrangement....

Arborlee is situated high in the Border Ranges above the Condamine River Gorge. It is two and a half to three hours drive from Brisbane. The drive covers some very scenic country. The closest town is Killarney 25 minutes and Warwick 35 minutes. The small settlement of Mount Colliery is seven kilometres down the mountain. The special features of Arborlee are birds, frogs, plants, fungi and other wildlife of the rainforest setting, the peaceful atmosphere, retreat context without other tourists, guided walks and scenic views. The setting is perfect for the bird watcher, amateur botanist, artist and photographer. Arborlee is an affordable rainforest sanctuary. They share this sanctuary with Australia's rare Albert's Lyrebird and many other uncommon birds. See the bird, frog and plant photo gallery. Oaklea is a 300 acre working farm east of Killarney in the majestic mountains of the Scenic Rim. Picturesque, peaceful, and cooler than the lowlands due to their elevation, they are seemingly closer to the stars at night! Their garden is shaded by 100 year old Oak trees, under which they have planted camellias, azaleas and rhododendrons. The property has a significant stand of remnant rainforest and eucalypt forest, ideal for a quiet walk. From both cottages there are excellent views of the mountains, and when you walk around the property you will experience views that are unsurpassed anywhere in the region. Close to the Main Range National Park and Queen Mary Falls, they are ideally located between Boonah and Killarney for sightseeing, bushwalking, photography, bird watching, mountain biking, or just plain relaxation. Comfortable accommodation is available in two self contained cottages sleeping up to seven, or in the homestead itself.

Stroll along the Queen Mary Falls circuit to the lookout giving views of Spring Creek plunging 40 metres over Queen Mary Falls. Continue along the track to descend from the eucalypt-covered ridge top into the rainforest gorge at the base of the falls. Pause to view the falls from creek level and feel the waterfall's cool spray. Take care on the causeway as the surface can be slippery when wet. Never cross when water covers the causeway. Warning: Sheer cliffs and waterfall. Keep to the track and supervise children closely. Serious injury or death may result from walking near the cliff edge or swimming in the creek above the waterfall. ...

Condamine Gorge '14 River Crossing'

Accessible by four-wheel-drive vehicles only, the Condamine Gorge's '14 River Crossings' track is appropriately named after the 14 river crossings you have to make exploring this beautiful part of the Gorge. During normal conditions the crossings of the Condamine River are relatively shallow. However, during wet weather the river will rise rapidly making it impassable. It is advisable to check conditions with the Warwick Visitor Information Centre or Bureau of Meteorology prior to visiting. The Condamine Gorge is home to a number of endangered species, please respect this precious environment. Note that private properties either side of the track may not be fenced, so please keep to the road and creek area and observe the 'no trespassing' signs. To commence the track from Boonah, start opposite the Police Station, travel out from Boonah along Rathdowny Road and turn right at Carney's Creek Road. Travel out approximately 12 kilometres to cross Teviot Brook floodway and then turn right to The Head. The low road is Condamine Gorge. This track is only accessible when the weather is dry, take the high road when river is flowing. From Killarney, turn left into Condamine Gorge just after the abattoir. ...
