Situated on South Australia's beautiful Fleurieu Peninsula, with its stunning scenery and fabulous sandy beaches is the welcoming four-star Villa Grenache Bed and Breakfast. Facilities are modern and feature air conditioning utilizing geothermal heating and cooling, while all rooms have sweep fans and insect screens on the windows. The guest bedrooms are tastefully decorated and have ensuites or a private spa bathroom. Two of the spacious bedrooms have a queen size bed, while the third offers a giant six foot king size, which can be separated into two comfortable single beds.

DogRidge is a family owned operation of 140 acres. At our McLaren Flat vineyards, DogRidge boasts several plantings of Shiraz, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon that form the basis of our premium bottled product. Sparkling Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Petit Verdot are available for tasting and several back vintage wines are available for purchase from the cellar door. DogRidge the name comes from an old ?vigorous? grape vine rootstock. We adopted the name DogRidge as it suits our extreme love for dogs and the position of the family home on a sandy ridge in. DogRidge can be one or two words depending on your mood. Either way, it?s fabulous wine however you say it! Sit and enjoy a casual tasting around the old table. Graham Stevens Wines is a family-owned winery in McLaren Vale, operated by Graham Stevens and his daughter Carolyn. With many years experience in the wine industry, both Graham and Carolyn are committed to producing high-quality wines from the best available fruit. Passionate about the environment, Graham carefully manages the vineyard to minimise water use while maintaining quality. Graham Stevens Wines range includes their Sauvignon Blanc, a lighter Nouveau-style Grenache, two recently released 2005 Shiraz styles, a Gold Medal winning blend of Shiraz, Grenache and Cabernet Sauvignon called ?Graham?s Vat 52? and their Gold Medal winning Cabernet Sauvignon. Our 28 hectare vineyard was first planted in the 1960?s and located at the height of one of McLaren Vale?s most elevated sites in the cool Blewitt Springs sub-region, sitting 130 meters above sea level. Grown in ancient sandy soils, the deep sand above the clay sub-soils allow the vines to be dry-grown with minimal or no irrigation, creating wines of intense flavours & soft mouth filling tannins. Our Homestead is nestled amongst our premium vineyards, a piece of private paradise. The Beresford Homestead comprises of two wings, each featuring superbly appointed living quarters ? The Reserve Suite and Grenache Villa, both with their own private courtyard with open fire place. The Beresford Tasting Pavilion is located on Blewitt Springs Road with an enviable view up the hill to the Grand House nestled amongst the Estate Vineyards. Haselgrove Vignerons was established in 1981 and produces a range of premium wines, notably the ?James Haselgrove?, for sale in Australia. James Haselgrove Wines? first wine was made in 1979. The label, after being away from the company?s product range for some years, has returned. Maximus Wines is located in the heart of the McLaren Vale wine region. Wines are crafted to perfectly reflect the terroir of the vineyard and the nurturing provided there. The Confessional Boutique Wine Revelations is a place to immerse oneself into something unique, to pause, reflect and indulge your senses to food and wine. Offering wine tastings in the quirky cellar door the winemakers talk you through three small boutique producers La Curio, Pieri Wines and Skin Deep. Each producer uniquely different from the next offering some interesting traditional wine making techniques, Amarone and Appassimento. With the addition of some easy drinking Italian Varietals you will be hard pressed to find a wine that is not fresh and approachable, easy drinking. Their tapas menu is crafted from local seasonal ingredients with an element of each dish smoked. Of course each dish is paired to go with a glass or two of vino! The Confessional also offers out back barrel tasting with the winemaker where debauched conversation and drinking takes place. The opportunity to also taste other producers making their wine in the quaint winery outback. At the end of your day there's the option to confess your brooding red sins in the confessional booth which records your confession so you are able to send to others or if brave enough upload to Facebook. The Gemtree Wetlands Ecotrail is a 10 hectare area in the heart of the Gemtree Vineyards, which is a major haven for native plants, frogs, birds and animals. The Ecotrail comprises a one kilometre walk with 10 information markers along the way. The trail starts at the carpark where you can view an interpretive map. Brochures are provided to help guide your walk around the trail and inform you about various places of interest. Picnic shelters and a public barbecue are provided for your enjoyment. There are information boards to learn from, a bike rack and a few bench seats along the way to stop and relax and take in the views of the McLaren Vale vineyards and the surrounding beauty of the wetlands. The Gemtree Wetlands Ecotrail is a fine example of how degraded farmland can be restored back to its original condition prior to being settled by farmers. Sandalwood Shearing Shed offers a tranquil country escape. Set in a vineyard in one of South Australia's premier wine growing regions, it is a wonderful place to relax and explore the McLaren Vale region. Experience the Australian countryside in a converted shearing shed with all modern comforts. It is set in a secluded spot on a 90 acre property. Guests enter the accommodation through the traditional shearing shed, to arrive at a cosy and romantic dwelling with beautiful vineyard views and stylish interiors. Suitable for two guests, it has a comfortable queen size bed and a fully equipped kitchen. Comforts include a modern bathroom with a great shower, reverse cycle air conditioning and a combustion stove for winter warmth. A deck that overlooks a small winter creek is ideal for outdoor eating and barbecues. Guests can explore the surrounding cellar doors, vineyards, local beaches and great local restaurants. This is also a wonderful place to just relax and take walks around the property and guests can help themselves to produce from the chook pen, orchard and vegetable garden (when in season).
