The Cooloola Great Walk is located within Great Sandy National Park, Cooloola. The Cooloola Great Walk showcases the very best of Cooloola's outstanding natural attractions. The extensive walking track system winds for up to 102 kilometres through rainforest, tall eucalypt forest, dry coastal woodland and heath plains. You'll walk over vast sandblows, past perched lakes, along sandy beaches and see views of the long sweeping landscapes of the Cooloola coastline and the Noosa River lakes. The walk is up to 102 kilometres long, takes five full days of walking and offers four walkers-only camps. Do not attempt this 5-day walk without a topographic map. It is of a difficult grade. Located just south of Rainbow Beach, the point is a magnet for marine life of every description which is why it is rated one of the top 10 dive spots in Australia. Just off the point you'll find four volcanic submerged pinnacles where scuba divers are often seen exploring the vertical gutters and overhanding ledges. Carlo Sand Blow is a unique "moonscape" sand mass covers over 15 hectares and overlooks the towering coloured sand and the coastline from Double Island Point to Inskip Peninsula and the southern tip of Fraser Island. Locals and visitors take the easy 600 metre nature walk from Cooloola Drive in the afternoon to take in the sun setting over Tin Can Bay and the Great Sandy Strait. This track is also the entrance to the Cooloola Great Walk....

Cooloola Wilderness Trail is located within the Great Sandy National Park, Cooloola. Sand, wind and water have sculpted a varied landscape, the largest remnant of coastal vegetation on the southern Queensland's mainland. High sand dunes, coloured sand cliffs, sweeping beaches, sandblows, freshwater lakes, tall forests, paperbark swamps and wildflower heath make this a spectacular part of the Cooloola Recreation Area, Great Sandy National Park. The Cooloola Wilderness Trail is a 47.9 kilometre one way walking trail taking three to five days to complete. It's of a difficult grade. The trail is made up of various other walks - please see the National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Racing website listed for detailed notes on the Cooloola Wilderness Trail. The northern end of the trail is Mullens car park and the southern end is Elanda Point. From Mullens car park to Harry's camping area the trail crosses the western catchment and Noosa Plain. Tall eucalypt and banksia forests on deep sandy soils give way to low wallum on shallow soils. From Harry's camping area to Elanda Point, the trail passes through remnant rainforest on the rich soils along Kin Kin Creek, and paperbark and cabbage palm wetlands on adjacent waterlogged plains....

Wolf Rock Dive provides guided scuba diving tours for certified divers to see the amazing underwater world at Wolf Rock, one of Australia's premier dive spots. Coming up out of a depth of around 35 metres the main formation is made up of four volcanic pinnacles and is located just off Double Island Point near Rainbow Beach. As Wolf Rock is a protected area the marine life that can be found there will astound you. The pinnacles and surrounding underwater terrain provide a home to the critically endangered grey nurse shark which can be found there all year round along with other big critters such as giant Queensland gropers, squadrons of eagle rays, bull rays, leopard sharks, green sea turtles, loggerhead turtles and manta rays. Then you have the large schools of pelagic such as trevally, kingfish, barracuda and much much more. Hard and soft corals provide shelter to a wide variety of sub-tropical fish, moray eels and nudibranchs. Surfside is a small, private complex of 12 beach houses, located in Rainbow Beach, 3 hours north of Brisbane. The Complex was designed by award-winning Architect, Lindsay Clare.The 4 story townhouses are nestled in amongst natural vegetation, and designed to catch the gentle sea breezes that blow in off the Pacific Ocean.There is a private pathway that leads through the bush to the beach which is just 120 metres from the complex. The top viewing deck looks out over the lush bushland, clean sandy beaches and clear blue water. This secret hideaway offers peace and privacy, plus excellent accommodations for up to 8 people.The main entrance is on the ground level, and contains a large bedroom with a queen size bed, roomy ensuite and TV. The bedroom opens out onto a deck area that is boarded by bushland.On the second level, we have 3 large bedrooms and a full-size bathroom with large bathtub. Then we travel up to the third level where we find an open-plan living, dining, kitchen area that opens out onto the balcony.The top level has been designed to take full advantage of the amazing views, with a deck area furnished with tables and chairs.The rooms are generously sized with polished wooden flooring and air conditioning. Each 4-bedroom house sleeps 8 people, with 2 Queen Size beds and 4 single beds. The living room has a TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher and microwave and full-size oven. A separate laundry with washing machine and dryer is located on the ground level.The gardens include a large in-ground salt water swimming pool with an adjacent BBQ area with tables and chairs.
