Welcome to Austin Rise Bed and Breakfast which was established 5 years ago in Melbourne, Australia.

Austin Rise is a fantastic place to stay if you are planning on coming to Melbourne. We are just a short walking distance to the Austin, Mercy and Warringal Private Hospitals and Melbourne Brain Centre, Florey Neurosciences Institutes.

We offer complimentary pick up and drop off to the Austin/Mercy Hospital precinct as a service to our guests

Come and walk around the cottage garden and lawn enjoying a glass of wine or relax with a good book outside amongst the flowers. We have three bedrooms ideal for couples, families, the corporate traveller and for weddings in Heidelberg.

We also have a new room available in nearby Bulleen. It has a double bedroom, single bed in a sitting room and its own ensuite. It is close to the Manningham Club; the Veneto Club and Heide Gallery.

The Greensborough Motor Inn is located in Melbourne's Northern Suburbs. Car travel to the city, airport or Yarra Valley will usually take less than thirty minutes. The metropolitan ring road is only three kilometres away giving convenient access to the Hume, Princes and Western highways. The motel has a mix of room types including six Spa (double oval) suites. We have a solar heated swimming pool. There are a number of major shopping centres within close proximity. The Austin & Repatriation Medical Centre is a few minutes away. The La Trobe University and RMIT Bundoora Campus are also only a short distance away.

Approximatley 30 minutes from Tullamarine Airport and Melbournes' CBD. Petty's is one of Melbourne's oldest commercial orchards, and it holds the largest collection of apple varieties on mainland Australia, with more than two hundred varieties of old and rare apples. There is a single toilet block which has facilities for the disabled. The car park and Demonstration Orchard are relatively flat providing disabled access, although tracks through the latter are fine gravel and mown grass which can be slippery when wet. The wetland and bird hide are less accessible and people with physical mobility problems will have to be fit to negotiate some areas. While managed by Parks Victoria, 25 hectares of Pettys is privately leased to a commercial operator. Please respect the rights of the orchardists by not entering this area or picking any apples. Yarrambat Park provides the perfect spot for a family day out. Facilities include electric barbecues, picnic tables and a picnic shelter. Toilet facilities are also provided and have access for people with limited mobility. The area of park around the picnic area provides wide open spaces for playing cricket, kicking a football, flying a kite or walking the dog. Nioka Bush Camp is a quiet retreat away from the stresses of city life. Stay overnight in the great outdoors, camping or in bunkhouse accommodation. Organised groups of more than 50 people require a permit from the park office. Heritage In 1841, a punt was installed on the Yarra River at the site of the bridge at Banksia Park. It opened the best route between Melbourne and the Bulleen-Templestowe area enabling the earliest Europeans to settle along the rich river flats. WaterMarc is the largest indoor aquatic and leisure facility in the northern region of Victoria with two giant water slides. Other features include a huge water play space including a 'zero depth' play area and an aquatic adventure playground with activity features. Situated at the confluence of the Plenty and Yarra Rivers, this 33 hectare park was an important meeting place for the Wurundjeri people. Birrarrung Park is a significant recreation space within the parks along the Yarra River, incorporating two large ephemeral wetlands. Several wood barbecues (wood is provided), picnic tables and shelters are available in the park. Fires are permitted only in the barbecues provided, and you are welcome to bring your own small gas barbecue. The toilet block at Birrarrung Park is wheelchair accessible. An adventure playground is available for children. There are 2.8 kilometres of flat sealed trails are suitable for skating, cycling and walking.
