Hidden along Sinclair Crescent is a small body of water known as Wentworth Falls Lake. Popular with picnickers and model boat enthusiasts the landscaped area and children's play ground is also home to a group of sandstone creations forming the Wentworth Falls Lake sculptures. Seed pods of plants native to the lake area are portrayed in locally quarried stone. This is a popular picnic area and both water and open forest birds can be seen around the Lake. A one kilometre walk beside the Lake is easy grade and takes about 30 minutes....

This walk offers fantastic views of the Jamison Valley and surrounding cliffs, not to mention stunning waterfalls at both ends of the walk. Highlights would be the paths cut halfway up the cliff face leading toward a crossing of the incredible Wentworth Falls, right next to the aptly named Giant Staircase. Wentworth Falls was named in 1878 after William Charles Wentworth, one of the three European explorers who crossed the mountains. Wentworth Falls is home to the biggest waterfall in the Blue Mountains with the first drop being 110 metres and the second 48 metres. Visit the quaint village or take a stroll along the shore of Wentworth Falls Lake, which was originally created to provide water for steam trains. The lake offers a great picnic spot and children's playground. Many bushwalks originate around Wentworth Falls varying from 30 minute walks to full day hikes. The National Pass walk offers great views of the Jamison Valley and the surrounding cliffs. The Conservation Hut Cafe offers fantastic views over the valley and casual daytime dining....
