Altona Miniature Railway opens every 3rd Sunday to the Public offering train rides on our 1.5km of track
All ages are welcome to ride. We have two club diesel engines that normally run the passenger trains, as well as private steam and diesel engines belonging to club members. Many time you will find a steam engine also running. We have specially designed cars for the young and the young at heart who enjoy hearing the clickety-clack of the rails.Altona Miniature Railway is a hobby club that provides miniature train rides every third Sunday to the young and the young at heart.
Rides are provided by our members scaled steam engines and diesel (5" and 7 1/4" gauge) over our 1.2 km length track.
Anika is a fully qualified Lomi' Lomi' massage specialist (week days)and registered nurse (week ends). She has collaborated her extensive knowledge of the human skeletal/muscular system with her massage qualifications to further enhance her successful massage therapy business.
Come along to the Disco Bowling on a Saturday night, Everything glows !!!! (balls, lanes, pins & barmaids). Enjoy the disco lighting, it probably won't do anything for your game but you'll have a ball. The normal lights go out at 8.30pm and it all gets a little funky, people love it.
The Joel Gallery is a new contemporary exhibition space designed to provide a quality yet affordable opportunity for professional and community artists. The Joel Gallery is a hive of activity; hosting exhibitions as diverse as fashion shows, midsumma exhibitions, local artists known and upcoming, community groups and more. The Joel Gallery opened in 2006 with aims to promote the value and importance of the arts in Hobsons Bay by developing and maintaining a diverse program of visual arts exhibitions. It also seeks to support and strengthen the capacity of local artists to engage with the community and initiate programs that assist with community cultural development while ensuring equity of access for all. The Louis Joel Centre is located on the site of the former Altona Hospital, and has been developed over the past decade to become a dynamic community owned and managed meeting place that offers community wellbeing, arts and cultural services to the residents of Hobsons Bay.
