Thunderbird Park is a wildlife and geological oasis. Find treasure in the world's largest thunderegg mine. Thundereggs range from a few grams to over 600 kilograms. The mine is open from Wednesday to Sunday from 8.30 to 3.30pm, every day during Queensland Public School Holidays and all public holidays except Christmas Day and Good Friday. The admission price includes a mining permit, a pick, shovel, and a bucket to hold the treasure.
The ropes course offers a range of challenges from relatively easy to very strenuous. Choose your challenge and enjoy hours of high adventure. Hang on to the ropes and take a flying fox ride through towering eucalyptus trees, crawl through tunnels, play action movie jungle games and tumble through the air. Our guides will greet you at 7.00pm sharp at the Night Zoo entrance and escort you to our famous Aussie BBQ. Enjoy a delicious barbeque dinner of steak, sausages and seafood with fresh garden salads followed by a dessert. Relax with a drink from our licensed bar.
After dinner, our guides will provide you with a torch and lead you into the darkness to meet the creatures of the night. Learn how owls hunt, touch a possum and pat a koala. On clear nights our guides will take you star gazing. See the Southern Cross, the Big Dipper and other well known constellations.

Koalas: Lots of opportunity to observe our koalas doing what they do best - eating, sleeping and looking adorable. Fossil evidence shows that koalas originally lived in rainforest environments. As Australia became drier, they adapted to eat Eucalypt leaves, which replaced much of the country's rainforests.

The three night ‘Fly Dive Cod Hole’ expedition departs Cairns every Monday and offers prime Ribbon Reef dive sites which suit every type of diver. The four night ‘Fly Dive Coral Sea’ expedition departs Cairns every Thursday and is geared towards the more adventurous diver and offers great diving in the remote Coral Sea. Both departures include a spectacular low-level reef flight just 180 metres above the Great Barrier Reef. The seven night ‘Coral Sea Safari’ expedition provides a combination of both three and four night expeditions and offers you the best Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea diving with no repeat dive sites except the world famous Cod Hole.
