The Altona RSL was established in 1927, and has been an integral part of the local community ever since. We are committed to servicing our community and not only support our Ex-Services and current Serving Personnel, we also a wide range of local community and sporting groups.

The Altona RSL is a great place to relax, meet up with friends, catch some live entertainment or enjoy an excellent meal in our Gunners Bistro. If you are looking to hold a function look no further than the Altona RSL, with fantastic function spaces equipped with multimedia facilities we can cater for a wide range of groups ranging from 2 – 200 people.

Membership is available for $30 per year providing you with a wide range of benefits including discounts on Food, Beverages and regular entertainment plus a $20 venue voucher for your birthday. Members are also invited to our exclusive Gala Days and Kids Christmas Party PLUS you will become a member of our new RSL Rewards Programme that is linked to all Licenced RSL’s in Victoria.

Pier 71 Bar e Cucina is an authentic Italian restaurant and bar located in the heart of Altona, Victoria. We pride ourselves on preparing our dishes using traditional Italian methods. Our pizza dough is made from the same flour used in the finest pizzerias in Italy and is hand-stretched by our Pizzaiolo. Combing tradition with technology, we use a wood-fired, stone-base rotating oven, imported directly from Italy, making it one of only a handful of its kind in Australia. Our pizzas are baked at 400 degrees Celsius ensuring even cooking throughout. Pier 71 Bar e Cucina serves authentic Italian cuisine seven days a week. Our fresh ingredients are sourced from local suppliers, to create traditional Italian favourites on our menu including delicious pasta, risotto and antipasto, mouth-watering desserts and pastries and of course, the signature stone oven pizzas. Pier 71 Bar e Cucina is available to book for private functions and regularly hosts live music events and has a sunny, smoke-free rear courtyard, best enjoyed with a glass of vino and good company.
