The Historic Shirley Hotel (now the Bethungra Hotel B&B) was first established in 1886 when Bethungra was a busy railway town. It is situated in the village of Bethungra on the Olympic Highway, 69 kilometres north of Wagga Wagga and 23 kilometres south of Cootamundra.
All rooms have unique, high and beautiful, decorative ceilings. There are 13 bedrooms for guests, several dining rooms, two lounge rooms, a function centre, a reception room, verandas on three sides of the hotel, store rooms and an owner's residence.
Of the 13 bedrooms which are beautifully decorated and appointed, three have their own en suite. The remaining 10 bedrooms share facilities. All but two bedrooms have their own access, via French doors, to the verandas. Each bedroom has a television and most have their own tea/coffee making facilities or access to them.
