The Big Blue Retreat is a holiday house at Garden Island Sands in the Huon Valley, southern Tasmania. The Retreat sleeps nine people and features three generous sized bedrooms. A separate dining and lounge area with a cozy wood heater is located downstairs with a large family area located upstairs. There is a full kitchen, laundry and bathroom with shower and bath. A second toilet is located upstairs for convenience. The property also boasts undercover parking and a fully fenced yard and a play area for the children. Bruny Shore is a three bedroom, eco-holiday house overlooking Storm Bay on Bruny Island, Southern Tasmania. The contemporary timber and glass house offers stunning waters views in a private bush setting. It has achieved a five-plus energy rating and features recycled Tasmanian timbers. The main bedroom is appointed with a queen-size bed, private deck and ensuite with luxurious bath. There are two other bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and the other with two long single beds. 970 Adventure Bay Road is a holiday home with views over Adventure Bay, at Bruny Island. Bruny Island is accessible by ferry, from Kettering, which is a 25-minute drive south of Hobart. The accommodation consists of three bedrooms, two bedrooms with queen-sized beds, one bedroom with a double bed and single bunk over, bathroom with toilet, lounge/dining room and a well equipped kitchen with cutlery, crockery, bench plates, wall oven, dishwasher, and microwave. The lounge has a television, DVD player and stereo. In addition there is a sun room at the front of the home. All linen and towels are provided. There is a laundry which has a front-loading washing machine, a toilet and shower. There are barbecue facilities in the well maintained landscaped gardens and undercover parking is provided. There is also an area suitable for parking a boat or trailer. The accommodation is close to beaches, South Bruny National Park walking tracks, boat ramp and jetty, (maybe go fishing), the departure point for the famous Pennicott Wilderness Cruise. The world's first Sheep Whey Distillery. Hartshorn Distillery is a new Tasmanian micro distillery making boutique batches of Vodka and Gin from our own sheep whey. We are the first in the world to create this unique product. We are proud to be the smallest distillery in Australia making small ten-bottle batches using a 50 litre glass column still. Each bottle and label is hand painted by head distiller Ryan, so you can display it proudly amongst your collection. Ryan and his family run Grandvewe Cheeses in Birchs Bay, located deep in Tasmania's south. When making cheese, the whey is often discarded and put to little use. Ryan has spent the last two years discovering how to turn the complex sugars held within the whey protein and convert them into a basic sugars to then ferment into alcohol and eventually distil. The resulting distillate has a delicately sweet bouquet and extremely smooth finish, thanks to the dairy influence and complex filtering methods....

Woodbridge is one of the prettiest towns on the D'Entrecasteaux Channel and is a lovely place to stay while exploring the Huon Valley and Bruny Island. This semi-rural area of rolling hills and winding roads is home to small farms and craft makers. The area produces apples and stone fruit while the Channel is well known for its Atlantic salmon farms. Woodbridge is also home to the Peppermint Bay Restaurant complex. The restaurant offers transportation in style aboard the luxury, high-speed catamaran, Peppermint Bay II. The fully guided cruise departs from the Hobart waterfront, travelling along 40 km of coastline to the restaurant's waterside destination. Nearby is Grandvewe Farm Sheep Cheesery where you can sample 15 different cheeses and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the process of cheese making and maturing. From September to March you can also see sheep milking demonstrations, if your timing's right (4.30 pm). Experience the beauty of South Bruny Island from the air. Fly along the slim neck up to Adventure Bay and continue to the east coast, where you'll see some of Australia's highest sea cliffs - perhaps you'll spot a whale or two! Get a close up view of the Friars from just 700 feet as we circle over the rugged rocky islands: they're home to families of seals, so keep your eyes out! From there, we'll fly along the south coast, passing Cloudy Bay as we gently climb back up to 1500 feet for the perfect view of the historic lighthouse, then continue up the D'Entrecasteaux channel to enjoy the beautiful coast, before returning to the airstrip 35 minutes later....
