HOSTED ACCOMMODATION TEA TREE

Charles Reuben Estate Vineyard, Lavender Farm and accommodation is located at Tea Tree in Tasmania's Coal River Valley wine region. Tea Tree is a five-minute drive north-west of Richmond (8 km) and a 30-minute drive north of Hobart (35 km). In September 2014, renovations of the 'Pinot Cottage' concluded and it is now available as tourist accommodation. The 'Pinot Cottage' is a secluded self contained timber cottage on the vineyard with two bedrooms, full European kitchen, spa and wood fire. A fully equipped European kitchen is part of the open plan lounge and dining area. The lounge room has a beautiful view over some of the vineyard and contains the wood fire. Established in 1990, the four-hectare/ten acre Charles Reuben Estate has plantings of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling in addition to other Bordeaux varieties. Since 2015 Charles Reuben Estate also grows high quality Lavender varieties for oil production and culinary use....

Armytage House, Heritage Highway, Bagdad is an 1800's sandstone barn now converted to luxurious accommodation. While the original features of sandstone and convict brick walls remain, you can relax and enjoy all the conveniences of this contemporary renovation. A mezzanine loft queen bedroom overlooks polished oak flooring, a fully equipped kitchen and lounge with liquid crystal display television and digital disc player. The second queen bedroom and bathroom with a double spa have a beautiful polished concrete floor. Quality Tasmanian leather and timber furnishings have been used throughout. Armytage House has a large garden with numerous fruit and nut trees and an undercover barbeque area for alfresco dining. Situated 35 km north of Hobart on the Heritage Highway, Armytage House is an excellent base for you to explore the interesting surrounds. The historic towns of Kempton, Richmond, Bothwell, Oatlands, the Coal River Valley wine route and Hobart, with its famous Salamanca Market are all within easy travelling distance. In the area there is the Bagdad nine hole affiliated golf course, tennis court and Chauncy Vale Wildlife Sanctuary. Chauncy Vale, ideal for bushwalking, has a considerable variety of native fauna, birdlife, several caves and a lagoon. Full breakfast provisions are provided.

Elmshurst offers bed and breakfast accommodation at Campania near Richmond, a 30-minute drive from Hobart. We have two ensuite rooms accommodating two guests in each. Both rooms have double postupedic beds, television and radio. There are electric blankets, heating, car parking, and breakfast is provided. Barbecue facilities are also available. Please note it is a non-smoking establishment. Guests can enjoy relaxing country walks, landscaped gardens, trout fishing in the Coal River or Craigeborne Dam. Elmshurst is an ideal base for day trips to Port Arthur, the East Coast and Midlands districts. We are situated in the peaceful countryside of the Coal River Valley, a ten-minute drive from the historic Georgian village of Richmond with its gaol that predates Port Arthur Historic Site, and Australia's oldest bridge, along with a range of eateries, crafts shops and galleries....

Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is located at Brighton, a 30-minute drive north of Hobart. The Sanctuary boasts wombats, koalas, birds, quolls and many amazing natives including the Tasmanian devils which are active during the day so they can be viewed at any time. We have over 80 free-roaming kangaroos that you can hand-feed with complimentary kangaroo food provided on entry and they love a scratch under the chin! We offer a very hands-on experience, allowing you to view and share special moments with Australia's unique wildlife. Your entry will also help continue the work with education, conservation and rehabilitation of Tasmania's threatened wildlife. Bonorong's dedicated volunteers run Tasmania's only 24-hour wildlife rescue service. Be sure to time your visit with one of our daily guided tours, run at 1130 and 1400. You will hear little-known facts about the wildlife and stories of orphaned animals in our care. Tours include seeing the devils devour a snack and pats/close-up photos of the wombat and koalas....

Tea Tree Golf Club is a private 9-hole country golf course located on Volcanic Drive in Brighton, about a 30-minute drive north of Hobart in Tasmania. Set in a semi-rural environment, the Tea Tree Golf Course offers flat fairways and grass greens with some bunkers. Two creeks come into play on six out of the nine holes and several holes have alternate tees on the second nine. The greens, tees and fairways are all watered. Wobbly Boot Vineyard is a boutique, family owned and operated vineyard located in the Coal River Valley region of Southern Tasmania, 30 km from the capital city of Hobart. The property gains its name from the boot shaped outline of the property bordered by the White Kangaroo Rivulet. We produce limited quantities of award winning cool climate Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc wines which are sold online, through our wine club and from the cellar door. Wobbly Boot offers a very personalised and customised wine experience for those people who are looking for something more than a traditional cellar door. We provide fun wine tasting and vine to glass activities. BYO picnics are popular with both riverside and vineyard areas set aside. Our wines are vegan friendly. We are a dog friendly vineyard and have created two large fully fenced off leash areas. Wine and Woofs is our quarterly fundraiser for animal welfare organisations reflecting our passion and commitment to the care and protection of all animals. Shene Estate & Distillery is located at Pontville just 15 minutes north of MONA. This iconic convict-forged property is home to the Hobart Polo Club, the Shene Estate Distillery (producing Poltergeist Gin and triple distilled Mackey Single Malt Whisky) and the Kernke Family. Shene Estate & Distillery prides itself on being an historic site with modern ideas. Family members conduct tours by appointment sharing the property?s convict past, its links to the royal family, and what daily life is like living and working in a living museum. The Coal River Valley Farmers' Market takes place at the Campania Hall, on the second Sunday of the month, from October to April, at 9:00am to 1:00pm. The market has a wide variety of quality seasonal fruit and vegetables, wines, honey, jams, pickles, sauces, home-baked cakes as well as locally made crafts and jewellery.
