Gladstone Backpackers is a family run hostel located midway between Rainbow Beach/Hervey Bay and Airlie Beach which prides itself on its cleanliness and friendliness. All of the rooms have crisp clean white sheets with towels provided and a great swimming pool area. They wish each and every visitor to feel at home. Enjoy free tea and coffee, pick up and drop off from the bus, train and marina, barbecue facilities, bicycle hire and luggage storage. It is located within a five-minute walk to the town centre, including cafe strip, museum, library, university, marina and information centre. Internet is available. Whilst in Gladstone you can do a day ferry trip to Curtis Island and Facing Island, catch the boat for an overnight stay at Heron Island, visit the great Tondoon Gardens or take one of the great free industry tours. Gladstone has some wonderful events throughout the year including the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race and a fabulous Seafood Festival, along with diverse country markets.
