Whistler Wines is nestled within the western ridge of the Barossa Valley.
The winery is family-owned and operated, producing Estate grown wines of which we have seven varieties.
Grape growing has been part of the Pfeiffer family way of life for four generations, beginning with Matt and Josh?s great grandfather. With Josh taking over the vineyard management in 2013 he quickly converted to organic practices. Josh takes a very hands off approach to winemaking, fermenting in traditional small open concrete fermenters before basket pressing. We use a percentage of new oak each year to refresh our barrels, but prefer ageing in older, larger format barrels before bottling the wines with no fining and no filtration.
Our cellar door is the place to experience the wines and surroundings of our property, also share in our Larder full of local produce. Join us from 10.30am to 5pm, seven days a week (closed Christmas Eve/Day and Good Friday).
Whistler host events throughout the year, be sure to follow us and see what?s happening.

Take a self-guided walking tour along Gawler's historic Main Street and learn the fascinating history of the area.

The attractive setting, coupled with major roles in the mining and agricultural booms of the 1860s, 70s and 80s saw Gawler blossom into a town of broad streets, peaceful parklands and distinctive architecture. As the walk unfolds you will gain an appreciation of the achievements that our ancestors accomplished in times of challenging environmental and social harshness.
Maps and information for the self-guided tour can be collected from the Gawler Visitor Information Centre between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, or 10am to 4pm weekends....
