Soumah of Yarra Valley is a premium wine producer located in the Warramate foothills of the Yarra Valley. Soumah is an acronym for the dress circle location South of Maroondah Highway.
The Butcher family passion for horticulture and the pursuit of fine wine is the driving-force for fashioning a single vineyard range with varietal and regional character.
Since 2010 Soumah has accumulated some fantastic accolades including best chardonnay and white wine trophies at the 2015 Royal Sydney Wine Show, trophies for best pinot noir from the 2016 Mornington Peninsula Wine Show and 2015 Melbourne International Wine Show as well as numerous, gold, silver and bronze awards.
The basis of Soumah business is chardonnay and pinot noir although we are also focusing stylistically on Northern Italy and already have in our varietal stable; savarro, pinot grigio, nebbiolo, brachetto, ai fiori....
