Coolendel is an idyllic setting located on the beautiful Shoalhaven River, 30 kilometres west of Nowra. Enjoy two and a half kilometres of river frontage with fresh water swimming, fishing and canoeing. Coolendel has a bunkhouse that sleeps 20, cabins that sleep six and 250 campsites in five different areas. Coolendel is a great place for children. Being a nature reserve there are no pets allowed, no motorbikes or generators for these will negatively effect the wildlife.

Grady's Riverside Retreat is set on 17 acres amongst the peaceful bank of the Shoalhaven River surrounded by trees, shrubs, nature and a beautiful clear sky above, clouded not by tall buildings. The Riverside Retreat is definitely one of those special places to escape to in the country with no burden of city life. Grady's offers camping, fishing, cabins and night time fires in camp drums. With new and improved facilities this beautiful and tranquil area offers an unspoilt wilderness in which to relax and rejuvenate amongst pristine bush and abundant wildlife. For the more adventurous it offers an 'outback' experience with the more active options of bushwalking, fishing, swimming, canoeing and bicycle touring. The area is a great place to explore with numerous tracks including the trek from Yalwal to the beautiful Tianjara Falls. High on the nearby sandstone escarpment can be found Monument Rocks where early Yalwal residents carved their names, and dotted around the area are a number of mining relics from the 'golden era'. You can choose from two camping and picnic grounds both of which have toilets, barbecue facilities, water (not for drinking) and bins for recycling. Firewood is not provided at Yalwal and should be brought in. Bookings are not necessary.
