The Farmer's Place is a small working farm, cafe and market place located in Freshwater Creek. Alongside the cafe, you will find the market which acts as a consolidated farm gate for local farmers and producers to sell their goods. Here you can find locally produced fruit, vegetables and herbs, meat, dairy, condiments and much more. The Farmer's Place are committed to sustainability and minimising the impact on the environment. The Farmer's Place is a unique space that is made from recycled shipping containers, reclaimed timber and glass. The menu is entirely sourced locally (mostly from The Farmer's Place backyard) based on seasonality and availability. Come for breakfast, lunch or dinner and savour the flavours of specially produced seasonal menus. Once a farmtruck, this renovated 1970 Dodge is now an architecturally designed studio apartment. The Truck design maximizes the space allowing for a large loft bedroom area and combined kitchen and living space with potbelly fire. The studio truck can comfortably accommodate three adults with options for one - two children. A potbelly and barbecue stove are available for cooking. It is fully insulated and delightful inside, lined with pine and recycled timbers. The vista from the truck looks out over farm land, the wetland and rolling hills. Cattle and horses graze peacefully in the paddocks below. Native bird life is abundant on our' Land for Wildlife' recognized property. The Studio Truck is situated on a biodynamic farm in Freshwater Creek. Ten minutes from Torquay, at the gateway to the Great Ocean Road, within walking distance of the Farmers Place cafe and restaurant and famous freshwater creek cake shop. Great beaches and coastal villages surround us, including Torquay, Bells Beach, Anglesea and Barwon Heads. Wineries, the otway hinterland and beautiful walking and biking trails are nearby.
