Longview Vineyard Homestead is the property's original, beautifully renovated homestead. The Shiraz room comprises a kitchen, lounge and private balcony overlooking majestic views. With two bedrooms, spa bath and rear courtyard entrance this is a beautifully appointed apartment. The Pinot room comprises a master bedroom with private deck, a kitchenette and large en-suite with spa bath. The Homestead can be used as one residence, or two private apartments. Longview Vineyard is home to many different species of native animals and birds within the Heritage Reserve and has views stretching over rolling hills to Lake Alexandrina. The Macclesfield ANZAC Memorial Gardens located in Macclesfield, Adelaide Hills is a large native garden that has been created to provide a place of commemoration and contemplation. Covering two acres the garden is filled with memorials and artworks to commemorate the service of local men and women in times of war. A meandering walking trail has the names of hundreds of local people inscribed in the paved surface, covering periods of service from the earliest days of the South Australian colony up to the present day. A dedicated commemorative area allows for formal and informal remembrance services to be conducted as well as a site for rest and reflection. A unique feature of the garden is the interactive element, as it encourages veterans to become involved with the garden in practical ways to provide an outlet for those that are in need of a place to feel a connection and find solace. For those who enjoy gardening to budding artists and even just to enjoy a day in the hills, the Macclesfield ANZAC Memorial Gardens is worth a visit....

Adelaide Hills Getaway aims to provide a relaxed, restful experience in a natural country village environment. The complex consists of four self contained units which include two spacious studio units, a two bedroom unit and the five bedroom Gum Tree Lodge with its downstairs conference/ function room and courtyard. The L shaped complex was built in the 1980's substantially of bluestone and double red brick with veranda frontage to enhance the locations heritage precinct and adjacent historic walk. Located in a small rural village of Macclesfield on the upper reaches of the Angas River with village square, Sunday market, local vineyards and wineries, walking/cycling trails and attractions. It is a popular wedding destination. The whole complex is available for exclusive use (22 plus persons) or as separate self contained apartments or as a whole complex for exclusive use. Macclesfield Gravity Festival (known as Gravfest to its friends) is a free family weekend to see intrepid racers come down the hill near the school in home-made billy carts or on gravity bikes to test the rumour that Macclesfield has more gravity than any other part of the world. The pull of gravity is harnessed once a year for our race and is believed to draw its power from a deep vein of daftness that runs under the town. That raw daftness has been tapped since 1840, when it was first discovered by Dr Maccles, and is exported all over the world to allow politicians and captains of industry to make ludicrous decisions whilst expecting re-election or promotion. The two day event is in April when we race down the hill, watch live bands on the open air stage. enjoy the wide variety of stalls and welcome thousands of people to our little town to enjoy a bit of good old fashioned daftness....

The Meadows Monthly Market is held on the second Sunday of each month and features stalls inside and outside with a wide variety of local produce including vegetables, fruit, jams, honey and eggs, plants, books, crafts and collectables. There are displays and demonstrations, which vary from month to month. Barbecue, Devonshire teas, sandwiches and soup are available at reasonable prices. Proceeds assist maintenance of the Meadows Hall. Admission is free and there is plenty of car parking, as well as a playground and park nearby. The Meadows Four Day Easter Fair is held each year at the Meadows Hall and admission is free. (Please note: if the weather forecast is 40 degrees or more, the market will be cancelled.)...
