It all started over 20 years ago by staff at the local fish shop, who would feed scraps to the pelicans every day. Then in 1996, The Entrance Town Centre Management built the feeding platform known as Pelican Plaza. The walk can be covered in one and a half hours if you are a fast walker, or up to three hours at an easy stroll. Along the walk you can enjoy the picnic and barbecue areas, beaches, lookout, ocean baths, outdoor fitness station, cafes and galleries. Be sure to take a hat, sunscreen and a drink bottle which can be refilled at the water stations along the way. Sections one, three and four are fully accessible to all abilities, prams and bicycles. Section two requires beach access and walking on rock platforms. Dogs are allowed in sections one, three and four if they are on a lead, however they are not allowed on the beach.

Stretching for approximately six kilometres, Tuggerah Beach is one of the longest on the Central Coast. This secluded beach is hidden alongside the North Entrance Beach and surrounded by Wyrrabalong National Park,with its beautiful bush tracks making it also one of the most scenic. Tuggerah beach is not patrolled and as it is quite open, swimming is not recommended. From this, it is not surprising that Tuggerah Beach is mostly frequented by local fishermen. Access to the beach is only by car as there is no public transport. There is ample parking, but access roads to the beach are hidden and difficult to find, although as far as beauty goes the beach is well worth it once you get there. There is plenty of accommodation within a short driving range including cabin/caravan parks, motels, resorts, apartments and bed and breakfasts located at nearby Toukley, The Entrance and Budgewoi.

Celebrate all things Australian at The Entrance. Bring the whole family along for an action packed day full of free entertainment and fun activities at Memorial Park. Entertainment will be held on both stages including live bands, sheep shearing display, ice cream eating competition, NSW Corps of Marines, firing of the original 1820 Carronade Canon, Corporal Punishment, Pistol Duals, Wood Chopping Championships, baby animals on display plus lots more. There will also be loads of stalls. The Sea FM Fireworks Spectacular will be held at 9pm on The Entrance Waterfront to finish off the night with a bang. Fox Rollercoaster Superflow Championships hydrated by Camelbak

The 2016 Fox Rollercoaster #Superflow Championships hydrated by Camelbak will be held at Ourimbah MTB Park near Wyong on the NSW Central Coast. Why #Superflow? The race tracks are picked so that they give the riders that "super flowy" feeling! Each track will demand different skill sets of the riders - from tricky sections around rocks and tight corners to flowy berms and quick stints that needed pedal power and endurance. This is a mountain bike event that is a competitive race but still very social - you will ride in neutral to the starts of the three race tracks and the combined race times will count. In-official practice will be offered on the Saturday, race day is Sunday with all trails open for exploring and practice in the morning. Racing will start around midday - there is now a specific start list, you pick your race time! It allows riders to race with their friends and families, even if they are in different categories!
