Koala Park Sanctuary doesn’t just have koalas, it also includes animals such as Red & Grey Kangaroos, Dingoes, Wombats, Echidnas, Emus, many Wallaby species and a large collection of Australian Native Birds. Koala Park was created in the 1920’s and officially opened in October of 1930 by the founder Noel Burnet. He became alarmed at the high numbers of koalas shot for the large export fur trade. He feared that if such harsh treatment was allowed to continue, this loveable and unique animal would disappear from the face of the earth forever. From that time on he spent his whole life fighting to protect, research and create a safe environment in which they could live and breed naturally.

As part of the University of Sydney we host a vibrant program of University events and student performances, ranging from lectures by leading world thinkers as part of the Sydney Ideas program to presenting the annual student revue season.

Glen Street Theatre is a 400 seat proscenium arch auditorium that presents a subscription season of professional theatre productions, quality children’s shows and community events throughout the year including school productions and dance concerts.

The venue also runs Sorlies Bistro, which offers pre-show dining and monthly literary lunches. For Sorlies bookings, please call 9975 1455 between 10am and 5pm Monday to Friday.

Glen Street Theatre is located in Belrose on Sydney’s north shore, approximately 20 minutes drive from the CBD. Sydney Rowing Club would like to welcome you to the oldest rowing club in New South Wales. Sydney Rowing Club was established in 1870 and was first located opposite the Opera House. In 1888 the Club relocated to the western side of Woolloomooloo Bay, between Mrs Macquarie’s Chair and the Domain Baths. It remained at this site until 1947, before moving to its current location in Abbotsford. Past prestigious members including A.B. “Banjo” Patterson and the first Prime Minister of Australia, Edmund Barton who was a foundation member of the club.

While we are the oldest rowing club in NSW, recent renovations have re-invented the Club and we were awarded “Best Club Development”, as well as “Best Restaurant”, and “Best Casual Dining” in the 2009 Clubs NSW Awards for Excellence. Since then we have won awards for "best restaurant" and "best casual dining venue" in 2010 and 2011. We invite you to be part of our success.

The outstanding success in our Junior, Elite and Masters athletes is evidence of the strength and diversity of our Club. Many continue active competition having competed for the Club for over 50 years. Our success at Olympic level is also something we are proud of and continues through to representation at the 2012 London Olympics. We provide athletes and their families with experiences and memories they will never forget!
