Originally located in the Broadway on Nepean highway, Rosebud cinema moved to its current address in 1977. It was then an independent cinema owned by Lloyd and Marie Whitaker and managed by Peter Hansen. It opened at this site on December 21st 1977 with a single screen. In 1983 a second screen was added and in 1994 a third screen was completed which permitted the complex to screen up to 24 sessions a day.

On the 20th November 1997 Rosebud cinema opened for trade after being transformed into a six-screen complex. It was then owned by a partnership between Lloyd and Marie Whitaker and Robert and Mem Kirby.

Rosebud Plaza is situated in Rosebud on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula, approximately 75 kilometres south of the Melbourne Central Business District. Formally Port Phillip Plaza, the centre was renamed in 2006 to coincide with the opening of the centre's major expansion project.

The centre was first developed in 1986 and is now the only shopping centre on the Mornington Peninsula to offer the convenience of Kmart. Target, Coles and Safeway as well as over 55 retail stores.

Where the view is worth the drive' Rosebud Park Golf Course is part of a Crown Land Reserve, located on the slopes of Arthur's Seat and providing panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay stretching from the city skyline to the Heads. The Southern Peninsula and Bass Strait can also be viewed from many locations throughout the course. Rosebud Park is ideal for golfers of all standards with many challenging holes requiring astute course management by the low handicapper. The lush Santa Anna Couch fairways are well maintained all year round due to a plentiful supply of recycled water. The bent/poa greens are fast, true and in many cases protected by strategic bunkering. Practice facilities include, chipping and pitching areas, bunkers, nets and a large putting green. The large, well treed picnic area with free, modern gas barbecues is very popular with families and social groups. There are several large, well equipped shelters (open and enclosed) providing a relaxing environment where you can enjoy your own food and drinks. A great facility for social groups to hold presentations and to raise funds. Providing great value for money, with competitive green fees, the course has a well equipped Pro Shop where clubs, carts and buggies are all available for hire.
