Target Beach is located on Beecroft Peninsula and can be accessed from the Target Beach track which is a four kilometre return walk of medium difficulty. The walk is shady and winds its way through Eucalypt forest and littoral rainforest and provides great views of towards Point Perpendicular. The beach is great for fishing and is protected from the wind in a nor-easter. The beautiful, quiet beach is a fantastic reward for completing the long walk. Care should be taken when swimming as rips and currents may be present....
Hammerhead Point picnic area is located just a short walk from Warrain Beach.
Grab a table or spread your blanket on the grass. You can enjoy your sandwiches while nicely sheltered from the elements, thanks to a small sand dune that acts as a windbreak between the beach and the picnic spot.
After a picnic lunch, sit back and relax or enjoy a stroll on the beach. The beach here opens to magnificent reef within the Hammerhead sanctuary zone, part of the Jervis Bay Marine Park. Bring your snorkelling or diving gear for a real treat – there’s a huge array of marine life including dolphins, octopus and stingrays. Bring your binoculars if you're visiting in the winter - Hammerhead Point is a great whale watching spot....
Wilsons Beach is located in Abrahams Bosom Reserve and can only be accessed on foot from the Abrahams Bosom car park. It is about a one hour walk and there are other beautiful little sandy coves to visit along the way. The beach forms part of the Wreck Walk where information is signposted about SS Merimbula nearby. This is a great area for bird life and to spot Whales and Seals during the season....
You can find the tunnel by following the walking track at Abraham's Bosom Reserve in Currarong, it takes about an hour return. Hidden amongst the shrubbery you will find a small hole in the rocks just big enough for an adult to crawl through and about 20 metres long. If you crawl through the cave you will pop out on to breathtakingly beautiful sea cliffs on the other side. Pack a light picnic to enjoy while you rest up on the rock ledge.
Gosang's Tunnel is a great place to watch whales on the southern migration each spring....
Lobster Bay is a north facing beach located along Coomies Walk in Abrahams Bosom Reserve. It can only be accessed on foot from Abrahams Bosom car park and takes about one and a half hours to walk. There are fantastic photography spots near the beach including Gosangs Tunnel and Mermaids Inlet....
