EVENTS ADELAIDE CITY

Dublin is a small town on the Adelaide Plains in South Australia, located 60 kilometres north of Adelaide. Situated on Highway 1, the town is surrounded by farmland and rural industry. Dublin is a reminder of an era when 60 kilometres was a fair day's horse or coach ride out of Adelaide. Today, Dublin is a popular service stop for travellers heading to the nearby crabbing beaches or to and from the Yorke Peninsula. The town has a hotel, fuel, general store, post office agency, butcher, green grocer and a nice little park with picnic facilities. Just south of the town is an imaginative collection of large sculptures that were built in protest of the government's decision to build a waste facility. Despite protests, the dump went ahead but these scrap metal sculptures are continuing to attract plenty of attention and have become quirky landmarks. ...

Willalooka is a prosperous agricultural district located 35 kilometres south of Keith on the Riddoch Highway. Take the interpretive walk and learn the history of Willalooka by following the interpretive signs. Check out the children?s playground and visit Christmas Rocks where you can view the surrounding district. Darwent?s Waterhole and Jip Jip Conservation Park are nearby....
