FAMILY FUN ATTRACTIONS COBARGO

Cobargo combines the skills and craft of a working village with a genuinely historic past, its streetscape featuring the many turn of the century buildings that make Cobargo such an attraction for visitors. Cobargo was "The Junction" as the township first began to develop in the late 1860s at the junction of the Narira and Bredbatoura creeks, the surrounding landscape merging into wilderness areas that are today incorporated in the Wadbilliga National Park. Attractive buildings house craftspeople who sell unique goods from woodcrafts and pottery to leather and artworks and can often be seen at their craft working in the way that people did in Cobargo's early days. There are delightful cafes and retail shops to explore and the Cobargo Laneway Markets operate 9am to 1pm every Saturday. Wadbilliga National Park is located to the west of Cobargo, where camp sites are available and are abundant in flora and fauna.

Their Australian Colonial style farmstay cottage is surrounded with verandas on all four sides. It has two bedrooms and sleeps four with one queen, two singles. The Cobargo Folk Festival attracts performers from all over the world. Widely described as the best little folk festival in the country, over 200 performers and thousands of fans from all over Australia converge on the village over the last weekend of February for a broad range of musical entertainment. Held at the showgrounds in the historic and picturesque village of Cobargo in the Sapphire Coast (the far south coast of NSW), the town comes alive with a fun-filled and family-friendly weekend of music, dance, song, comedy and poetry. There will be a range of workshops in guitar, fiddle, percussion, tin whistle, singing, songwriting, accompaniment and standup comedy; while kids will be well catered for with a range of activities including singing, percussion playing, magic, stories and craft....
