FAMILY FUN ATTRACTIONS YALWAL

Coolendel is an idyllic setting located on the beautiful Shoalhaven River, 30 kilometres west of Nowra. Enjoy two and a half kilometres of river frontage with fresh water fishing and canoeing. Coolendel has a bunkhouse that sleeps 20, cabins that sleep six and 250 campsites in five different areas. Coolendel is a great place for children. Being a nature reserve there are no pets allowed, no motorbikes or generators for these will negatively effect the wildlife....

Yalwal Camp Ground is currently closed. Due to bush fire and flooding, the access road sustained significant damage. Until works are complete, the road into the dam will not be opened. Yalwal is an old gold prospecting area located 30 kilometres south-west of Nowra. It has two camping and picnic areas. The water, however, is not suitable for drinking. Yalwal is ideal for relaxing in an unspoiled wilderness with abundant wildlife, or as a base for active pursuits such as bush walking, canoeing, swimming and cycling. An historic cemetery and the remnants of some old gold mines can be found there....
