Bundanon Trust (including the Bundanon Homestead and Riversdale) is located on 1,100 hectares of pristine bush land overlooking the Shoalhaven River, near Nowra in New South Wales. It was a gift to the Australian people in 1993 by Arthur and Yvonne Boyd. Bundanon Trust supports the development of arts practice across all disciplines through its artist in residence program; operates a residential education program for children and adults and presents a dynamic, on-site public program, including concerts and special events, open days and group visits. Bundanon Trust is a custodian of the Boyd family art collection, the historic Bundanon Homestead and Arthur Boyd's studio. Bundanon Homestead is open every Sunday between 10am-4pm. Pass through beautiful, rare rainforest pockets on your way to the scraggly outpost of Haunted Point. Steep in places, rough under foot. The track can be walked in either direction and includes a steep, short hill to the natural rock amphitheatre that features native orchids in spring. You can also explore the Singleman's Hut, built c1870s for farm labourers. Originally two rooms back-to-back and restored by artist Arthur Boyd in the 1980s. No signage. Conceived by artist Janet Laurence this linear arboretum traces the history of plants and plantings across the Bundanon landscape. Beginning at the site of the original cedar homestead on the Haunted Point Loop Walk, the north loop snakes past the Singleman's Hut and joins the heritage precinct around the sandstone Homestead. The south loop then proceeds to the river through the Landcare Living Landscapes reforested flood plain. Steep in places, rough under foot. South loop mostly flat grassy walk. No signage.
