The course for men, eighteen hole Par 71 and is 6,010 metres with Australian Course Rating 71. The course for women, eighteen hole Par 73 and is 5,284 metres with Women's Golf South Australian Rating 72. Light snacks are available from 10am to 10pm, lunch available from 12pm to 2pm, dinner available from 6pm to 8pm. Bookings are essential.

Loch Luna Game Reserve was established in 1985 and comprises 1,905 hectares. The reserve consists of a range of water bodies including narrow creeks and shallow swamps. The area contains a variety of environments that provide important habitat for many aquatic birds and mammals. Fishing, boating and enjoying the river are popular recreational activities. Keep your eyes open for the Royal and the Yellow-billed Spoonbills. Listen out for the harsh call of the Darter as it regularly breeds in Loch Luna. Sea Eagles, Regent Parrots, Pelicans, White-faced Herons and many other birds inhabit the reserves. Kangaroos graze beside the creeks, and if you are quiet, you might be able to spot a water rat swimming along the edge of the reed beds. Camping is allowed in the designated campsites located along the River and Chambers Creek. Self-registration and payment for camping is available at the park.

Explore its peaceful backwaters by canoe, relax on the riverbank watching the waterbirds. Hire a houseboat and cruise the river or set up a camp and immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of nature along the Murray. Lyrup Flats, opposite the town of Lyrup, offers wonderful opportunities to camp, fish, take a ride in a dinghy or stroll along the floodplain. Bulyong Island is another peaceful getaway, not far from Renmark. Western grey kangaroos, emus, pelicans, kingfishers and parrots have made the island their home and small boat users, house boaters and canoeists are regular visitors. Jimmy James (the second) was a famous blacktracker, who belonged to the Pitjantatjara people. Jimmy moved to the Riverland in the 1940's and took his name from his (equally famous father-in-law tracker, Jimmy James). Just a short amble from the Visitor Centre, this living riverbank memorial honours Jimmy James who 'read the bush like a newspaper'. He worked with South Australian police on many matters, his most famous job was with Daniel Moodoo in 1966 where they were brought in from Berri to find a nine year old lost girl in the Adelaide Hills.
