Strickland was the site of the first government forest nursery (1886 - 1890) and national forestry training school (1920 - 1927). Remnants of native and exotic tree plantings established during those times, known as an arboretum, are among the oldest in Australia. Extensive and well-built walking trails feature cabbage tree palms, rainforest vegetation and meander through the arboretum. The Central Coast Interactive War Exhibit (CCIWE) is a permanent exhibit and is a truly unique experience suitable for all age groups. Andrew Church, local resident and military historian, has personally collected over 1000 artefacts from WWI, WWII, the Korean War, Vietnam War, Gulf War, Afghanistan, and Iraq and it is the largest private collection in NSW. The lifelike scenarios that surround the exhibit, complete with sound effects from the frontline and special lighting effects, give a sometimes chilling insight into what the frontline would have been like. There are over 1000 artefacts displayed including scenes from Gallipoli, a WWII trench, a communications display, medic post, Australian Light Horse (featuring a complete uniform and saddle), dioramas, and much more. Included in the exhibit is a photo booth - half a Willy's jeep permanently mounted to the wall - (with dress ups for the kids), plus an interactive learning centre.

The taproom is open to the public for tastings and growler fills, while their Cajun inspired restaurant serves up Southern style fare, well suited to the range of ales on offer. Brewery tours are conducted on Saturdays at 11am, with self-guided brewery tours available during opening hours. Visitors are able to gain an insight into how quality small scale beer is produced, and see the brewhouse in action. Neale Joseph is an established contemporary Australian artist whose work echoes the beauty of the Australian landscape. He uses traditional mediums of oil and acrylic materials to capture the richness and diversity of Australian scenery. Neale's first solo exhibition was in 1990 on the Central Coast. He has since been awarded both the internationally recognised 'Veuve Clicquot' and 'Great South Land' art prizes and has exhibited regularly in solo and group exhibitions throughout Australia. His work has achieved acclaim from some of the most influential international and Australian icons such as Arthur Boyd, former United States President George Bush Senior and former Australia Prime Minister John Howard. Large corporations such as IBM, Sara Lee, Dairy Farmers, Telstra and Commonwealth Bank of Australia are also collectors of his work. While Neale is humbled on the international and national recognition he has received, his roots are firmly planted on the Central Coast.
