Visitors are engaged with wine tastings, plenty of family anecdotes, and even a game of bocce, with a glass of Prosecco in hand of course. The tasting experience can also be heightened with a rustic Italian meal at the Dal Zotto Trattoria, affectionately known as the 'Tratt'. At this regional restaurant tradition rules, it is central and taste, thanks to Italy's colourful culinary history. Visitors to Dal Zotto can also experience a number of events at the winery such as Primavera del Prosecco in November, Hedonistic Hiking tours with the Dal Zotto's through the King Valley, and Vino Pasta e Basta on the June long weekend. King River Estate was established in 1990 after Trevor Knaggs and his Father Colin planted vines on the Estate. Traditional French varieties were planted first but now there are also alternative varieties. The varities are; Pinot Gris, Vermentino, Viognier, Chardonnay, Merlot, Shiraz, Sangiovese, Barbera, Sagantino, Lagrein, Saperavi.

The vineyard is run using Biodynamic practices which makes the estate sustainable and preserves the land for future generations.

The winery uses minimal intervention in the winemaking process which uses wild yeast (natural ferments) allowing the wine to show its true personality.

The winery, cellar door and fully self contained guesthouse (which sleeps nine) is located directly across the road from the beautiful crystal clear flowing water of the King River where you can catch fresh fish, such as Cod and Trout, when in season.

Katrina Pizzini's A tavola! Cooking School is based at Pizzini Wines in the King Valley. Katrina's hands on classes are held in a purpose built kitchen overlooking cellar door, and will leave participants feeling empowered and inspired by the end of each session. The A tavola! Cooking School opened in 2010 and is equipped for up to ten participants per class. There are also over ten different classes to choose from including pasta, gnocchi and risotto, pastries and desserts, street food, gluten free and Pig on the Spit Dinner Party. Most classes are taught by Katrina, but guest chefs will also be invited to take certain classes (the prices for these classes may differ to those run by Katrina).
